Mercedes-Benz Sports Experience
My Role: Oversaw the entire lifecycle of a Kinect-based VR game emulating a soccer and football Combine experience at the Mercedes-Benz stadium. From the initial concept through to launch and retrospective, I worked closely with cross-functional teams including managers, designers, developers, and marketing professionals to create an immersive Combine experience where guests perform vertical jumps, dodge capabilities, and ‘40 yard dash.’ The project also aimed at advertising the Mercedes-Benz' EQS, their fully electric luxury sedan 2021 model.

Scope of VR Experience
The scope was to create a Kinect-based experience for an in-stadium competitive Combine experience. Guests were able to select a 1 or 2-player mode that allowed them to compete against their friends or a pre-set virtual player to try to power up the electric vehicle presented on the concourse. The winner received an immediate payoff of bringing the space around the car to life and guests will receive a memorable video takeaway.
1 or 2-Player Kinect Game
One or two guests stand in position in front of a large screen for activation, side by side.
60 Seconds Combine Experience
Guests compete in a 60 second experience involving Combine drills of vertical jumps, dodge capabilities, and ‘40 yard dash.’
Video Capture Takeaway for Guests
A six-second takeaway video is captured with animated overlays of each player, and delivered using a third-party app to guests for social media share.

UX Design of User's Display
The goal of the UX design is to create a thrilling and immersive experience, ensuring one or two players can easily engage in a soccer or football Combine experience. The kinect-based virtual reality experience allows users to control and interact with the motion hardware console without the need to touch a game controller. Before gameplay, the guest enters a 'discovery mode' where they must stand in a Vitruvian Man pose as system collects measurement information.
